We are delighted to announce that Kristian Ørmen, Vice President of Registry Services at Internetstiftelsen, is returning to the Nordic Domain Days stage.
By now, Kristian needs little introduction. With over 20 years in the domain name industry, he has seen it from every angle. Before taking the helm of registry services for .se and .nu, he spent years on the registrar side, including a long tenure at group.one. He has been an active voice within ICANN, serving as a GNSO Councillor on behalf of the registrar community, and remains deeply involved in the ccNSO.
At Nordic Domain Days, Kristian will take to the stage during the Domain Industry Update on Monday, where he will tackle a topic close to the heart of any registry operator: thick versus thin registries, and why Internetstiftelsen is removing postal addresses from the .se registry. It is a conversation that touches on data minimisation, privacy, and how registries can modernise while serving registrars and registrants well.
Kristian has a way of making complex registry matters both accessible and engaging, and we know this session will spark some great discussions in the hallways afterwards.
We look forward to welcoming him back to Stockholm!
