Another first time occurance at Nordic Domain Days 2024 is that we have a non-for-profit organisation in the form of Groundbreaker joining us to share their insights into Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), a topic which the NDD team is passionate about. Join us in listenening to Tabea Braun approching these topics on stage during our "The future of the Internet" session.
This is what she has to share as an intro to the session.
"DEI isn't just a buzzword; it's a fundamental catalyst for driving innovation, fostering business success, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our digital ecosystem.
First and foremost, DEI cultivates diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise within tech teams. By embracing individuals from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, companies gain access to a wealth of unique insights and innovative ideas. This diversity of thought sparks creativity, fuels problem-solving, and leads to the development of more robust and inclusive products and services.
In conclusion, DEI isn't just a checkbox on a corporate agenda—it's a powerful force for driving positive change and unlocking the full potential of the cloud industry. By embracing diversity, fostering equity, and championing inclusion, we can all be part of shaping the future of the industry and making it even more reliable for everyone."
Groundbreaker has several programs but one that we find especially interesting is Talent.
Groundbreaker Talents supports companies in cultivating a more diverse talent pipeline by providing scholarships in Software Engineering to women from financially constrained communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Through a one-year intensive residential training at our campus in Uganda, you not only give access to the training needed to thrive in the tech industry but also foster a more diverse pool of tech talent. Groundbreaker Talents is a unique opportunity for you and your company to make a lasting positive impact, to show a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and to promote more diversity in the tech sector.
