We are delighted to welcome back Paolo Belcastro, Artistic Director, Domains Maison at Automattic, to the Nordic Domain Days stage in 2026.
Paolo is a long-time leader in the open web. Across his Automattic career he has shaped Jetpack, .blog, and the broader domains portfolio, and has been managing distributed teams since the late 1990s. His current focus is the transformative potential of AI agents and large language models, and how those reshape product development, user experience, and the very texture of the internet itself. Beyond his day job, Paolo is a photographer and a modern nomad whose career has spanned Italy, France, Switzerland and now Vienna, he brings a distinctly European, big-picture perspective to NDD.
Paolo closes our Future of the Internet segment on Monday afternoon with a keynote: "The Next Trillion Internet Users: Meet the A-Team." Thirty years ago, the internet’s population was still small enough to imagine counting. Today, billions of people use the internet, and the next wave will be far larger, stranger, and less human. Paolo’s 30-minute keynote explores what the internet looks like when a trillion agents come online, and what that means for the people building, running, and selling the infrastructure underneath.
"Nordic Domain Days has a special place in my travel schedule. It hits a sweet balance between being comprehensive while intimate. Everyone who matters in the industry is represented, yet the whole attendance fits in a single hotel. I come to build new bridges, consolidate existing ones, learn, and have fun while doing all that," says Paolo.
Welcome back, Paolo. Monday afternoon in Stockholm cannot come soon enough.
